    Significance Statement
"Excellent and rare example of a 1908 industrial building in Los Angeles' primary industrial district; most examples from this period do not retain integrity. The building was originally occupied by the Brinstool Paint Co., as suggested by the ghost signs reading ""Paints"", ""Oils"" and ""Varnishes."" Research indicates that Nate Starkman & Son was a record label company that did not occupy the building until the 1980s."
